Freeport Farmers’ Market at Baldwin LIRR

The Freeport Farmers Market is a youth-staffed community market-stand created in 2012 to serve the local community and support local agriculture by providing residents with easy access to fresh, nutritious, fruits and vegetables while stimulating and revitalizing the economy. Employment eligible youth earn an hourly wage to run the market. These youth are building skills in communication, math and customer service, along with developing an understanding of management and running a small business.
